On the TV show Scrubs, Dr. Perry Cox has a "happy place." He goes there in his mind when the world around him gets too crazy. His is a beach. Perry is able to just zone out and get a mental break on that beach.
I think my new Happy Place is the West Baden Springs Hotel. On two recent visits I cannot believe the simple grandeur of this place hidden in Orange County. What a treasure.
